DAVINCI'S LAST SUPPER

The “authenticity" of an artist is seldom the markings which appear on a particular piece as a signature. As art experts will attest, a particular style is inherent in each work an artist produces. This is particularly true with regards to the work of Leonardo da Vinci, and the daVinci Chalice.

Leonardo's work and natural ability are often attributed to his understanding and vision of particular elements within nature. This is true in both his early years under the Verocchio Guild and throughout his entire life. His "vision" of thse elements, and - in particular - his studies of water and it's flow, are often seen as the keystone to his understanding of light and shadow. In fact, most of his works have an inter-relatedness which can be clearly seen keeping this concept in mind.

Comparing the elements of the daVinci Chalice with his other works, in both art and notebooks - offers some insights which can be seen as totally remarkable, and yet so definitely obvious.

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." — Leonardo da Vinci
